45CrNiMo1V (D6AC) ultra high strength steel

45CrNiMo1V is often used to manufacture large carburizing parts with high load, requiring high strength, high toughness, large section size and more important tempering parts, such as the transmission eccentric shaft of horizontal forging machine, forging press crankshaft, etc. After conditioning, it is used to make important parts requiring good plasticity, high strength and large size. If heavy machinery in the high load of the shaft, diameter greater than 250mm turbine shaft, blades, high load transmission parts, fasteners, crankshaft, gear, etc. In addition, it can also be nitrized and used to make important parts with special performance requirements.
D6AC alloy steel can be tempered at 250~600℃, no tempering brittleness tendency, low cost of steel, widely used in the production of a variety of solid engine shell. At the moment of missile launch, the solid motor casing temperature rises sharply. In this case, the toughness of the shell material is related to whether the missile can be used safely. High silicon ultra-high strength steel can only be tempered at low temperature, not high temperature. When the temperature enters the brittleness range of high temperature tempering, the toughness drops sharply, which is easy to cause low stress blasting. But the D6AC steel tempered at high temperature can be used safely. The stress corrosion resistance of D6AC steel is better than that of 4340 steel, and the crack growth rate is one order of magnitude lower than that of AISI4340 steel. D6AC steel has good stamping and strong spinning properties. A satisfactory result can be obtained by electron beam welding technique in the manufacture of solid motor shell with D6AC steel.
