Q235 is a common carbon structural steel used throughout China. It is also known as Q235A, Q235B, Q235C and Q235D. Carbon steel for special engineering and use, such as ship and bridge steel. Because it is low carbon steel, it does not require heat treatment when used in production. The yield value of Q235 decreases with the increase of material thickness. Due to its moderate carbon content, its performance is comprehensive and adequate. Q235 is also well matched in terms of strength, welding and plasticity, and it is rolled into steel plates, bars, rods or corner frames.
Q235 steel can replace American ASTM A36, Chinese GB/T Q235, Vietnam/Japan JIS SS400 and other equivalent materials.
